Template Instructions:

Community Project! Follow the instructions to create your very own Magpie that will be featured in an art display at our new Shoreline location! (Coming soon!!!)
Cut out the parts of the bird & decorate with mixed media of your choice.
All we ask is that you keep the overall weight of the bird as light as possible. So stick to fabric, paints, paper scraps, etc. & avoid glass, metal, & other heavy, potentially dangerous materials. We also ask that you stick to the color pallet provided, feel free to let creativity take you away but we need recognizable magpies!Fold along the dotted lines, matching up side A & B, place the thin side of your plastic hook roughly half an inch down, in between the body at the back of the wings, then glue the body together.
Do not glue the wings (C) together.Fold the wings (C) down to create a 3D effect.
Fold the tail (D) along the dotted line. Once aligned, glue together, creating a double-sided image.
Place a line of glue along the glue line of D then attach to the top of the body (A/B), placing the base of the tails together, pinch along the edge of the tail to attach firmly. Leaving a 3D effect.
Finally align the wings (C & E), glue panel E to the top of Panel C, creating a double-sided image
Congratulations! You just made your very own magpie, welcome to the mischief! Please drop your finished Magpie off at our Broadway location!
Designing the 3D Paper Magpie
This template was designed by Magpie Thrift Capitol Hill's donation attendant and local multimedia artist Seairra @_.ondatra.does.stuff._ as a part of their work helping to design Magpie's upcoming Shoreline location. Eventually, these handcrafted birds will all hang together in the new store's entryway. Thanks to the help of Everly volunteers and members of our community, we'll be able to form our very own mischief of magpies!
