Art Market Recap
Thank you again to everyone in the community who came out to support this local event! The vendors all had a wonderful time and most made some good money selling their art, too, yay! Everly had a wonderful time hosting the free craft table and manning the homemade cookies by donation, and we once again want to thank Mask Bloc Seattle for providing masks to keep the first half of our event accessible to the immunocompromised community!
Here's a rundown of everyone who vended:
We were happy to host a majority of new (to us) vendors! We love giving local artists a chance to show their stuff in a welcoming, affordable space.
Moony (they/them) of Kittyskandis brought some amazing beaded accessories / charms that were so colorful and fun!
Em (she/her) @emroseehret had stickers, prints,
Shiv (they/she/it) @little_knife_industries had tons of amazing hand printed patches on upcycled fabrics.
Ashley/Mochi (any pronouns) @mochi.makes.shit had embroidery, stickers, pins, and all sorts of cute goodies.
Hilde (she/her) and Amanda (she/her) of Live Your Plantasy who brought a mix of thrifted and upcycled vessels with plants and other decorations, several of which had pieces bought from Magpie included!
Roman (he/they) Roman's Prints and Pottery @acousticpaint, who was vending for the first time and brought a mix of prints and beautiful handmade ceramics.
Michelle (she/her) of I’ve Hat It @IveHatIt brought an eclectic array of lovingly upcycled hats and other accessories!
We were also excited to host two members of the Magpie Thrift staff as vendors, too. The whole staff is full of wonderful creative people, but for this market we had:
Joe (he/him) a long time member of the team, was vending his beautiful collection of vintage fur coats and handbags.
And, for their first-time vending, Izzie (they/them) who brought a beautiful mix of beaded jewelry with a cool, mystical vibe.
We also had a handful of returning vendors including:
@deerstongue who makes custom chainmail pieces, prints, and other jewelry with thrifted trinkets.
Anna (they/them) @annarose.garlic who uses secondhand materials to make unique glass figures and screen prints.
Onyx (they/them) @suns9thdividereuse brought a mixture of art, accessories, and collages as well as collage kits, too!
Courtney (she/her) @Court_schneider who had an array of handmade bags, keychains, and other perfect potential gifts.
